  • Accompanying seniors to grocery stores and assisting during shopping
  • Picking up prescriptions and over-the-counter medications
  • Running essential errands, such as visiting the bank or post office
  • Shopping for household essentials and personal care items
  • Delivering and unpacking groceries at home
  • Assisting with organizing groceries and pantry items
  • Helping seniors safely carry purchases and avoid heavy lifting

Does not include

  • Transportation is not included. Clients are responsible for providing transportation for appointments and errands.

Light housekeeping

Help with tidying, laundry, and keeping the home comfortable.

Scope of support

  • Dusting and wiping surfaces
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
  • Washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen
  • Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
  • Making and changing bed linens
  • Doing laundry, folding, and putting away clothes
  • Taking out the trash and recycling
  • Organizing common living areas and reducing clutter
  • Watering indoor plants (if requested)

Does not include

  • Deep cleaning or heavy-duty household cleaning
  • Moving heavy furniture or lifting heavy objects
  • Home repairs or maintenance
  • Outdoor work such as lawn care or snow removal
  • Cleaning hazardous materials or biohazards

Meal preparation

Support with preparing meals and keeping routines on track.

Scope of support

  • Preparing meals as per client preferences for immediate consumption or later use
  • Serving meals and beverages
  • Assisting with light meal cleanup, including washing dishes and wiping kitchen surfaces
  • Encouraging proper hydration and healthy eating habits

Does not include

  • Medical nutrition therapy or dietary counseling
  • Administering tube feeding or other medical feeding procedures
  • Preparing meals for large groups or special events
  • Catering or commercial food preparation
