Reservation payment policy
How reservation payments work
Tighomecare uses a reservation payment to hold an accepted visit. The reservation amount is configured by admins and shown clearly in checkout.
When the reservation payment is charged
- Customers save a card during checkout, but the card is only charged after the worker accepts the booking.
- Checkout shows the amount due now, the remaining balance, and the total visit cost.
- The reservation amount may be updated by Tighomecare administrators as business rules evolve.
Non-refundable rule
- After the worker accepts the booking, the reservation payment becomes non-refundable.
- That rule is shown in checkout before the customer sends the booking request.
- Customers must agree to this policy before continuing with the booking.
Payment handling
- Tighomecare relies on Stripe to save payment methods and process payment actions securely.
- Tighomecare stores the payment references needed to connect bookings with Stripe activity.
- If a worker never accepts the request, the reservation payment should not be charged.
